City commences with road resurfacing in Eerste River and Kuils River

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate hereby advises residents and road users of roadworks along various roads in Eerste River and Kuils River that have started this week and will continue until Monday, 25 March 2024, if all goes as planned. The work is taking place between 07:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday. Read more below:

• Albert Classens Street
• Oak Lane
• Seringa Lane
• Peppertree Lane
• Raymond Ackerman Avenue
• Keerom Street
• Gousblom Avenue
• Kleinvlei Road
Kuils River
• Duine Street
• Bosch Street
• Freesia Street
• Wenlock Road
• Dawids Street
• Vlei Street
• Dower Street
• Naude Street
• Mabille Street
• Tom Street
• Riverton Street
• Meerenhof Road
• Dale Road
• Brantwood Street
The proposed works will include the full width asphalt resurfacing of various road segments as well as the reconstruction of all damaged concrete kerbs and channels.
‘Residents in the vicinity of Kuils River and Eerste River will soon benefit from the general road maintenance. The resurfaced roads will improve road safety conditions and riding quality. We thank residents for their patience while we are busy with this project to prolong the longevity of the roads,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
The City advises road users to be cautious while work is under way, reduce travelling speed and be aware of uneven road surfaces.
